Testing & Commissioning Services
Jose Acosta joined Phasor Engineering in 2019 as Relay Construction Inspector and later as the GM of Vector Technical Services. Jose is a seasoned Sr. P&C specialist skilled in protection & control theory and application. He has a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering Technology with over nineteen years of relevant experience in various aspects of successfully commissioned transmission and distribution substation upgrades and green field protection & control schemes. Jose began his career as a P&C Relay Tech and worked his way through Lead P&C Tech, Contractor Commissioning Agent, Startup Coordinator, to Sr. P&C Oversite Inspector.
Jose has fourteen years of field engineering experience in the maintenance of Electrical System protection & control components/schemes. He completed successfully various projects for different clients following different SOP and always keeping the higher standards for customer satisfaction. He has a clear and concise knowledge of the protection and control application and theory. Jose has the skillset to develop and implement an excellent and applicable engineered product for field personnel to utilize during normal/abnormal system operations. Jose provides services that will ensure that systems are installed, commissioned, and separated in a safe, reliable, and cost-effective manner.

Substation Operations - VTS
Jason Rachel joined GridTide in 2022 as Superintendent of Substation Operations. Jason has over eight-teen years of experience in various aspects of Generation / Transmission / Distribution, management, construction, commissioning, and maintenance with a focus on the substation discipline. Jason began his career as a Substation Electrician Apprentice. After excelling through his apprenticeship program, he became qualified as a Journeyman Electrician. Later he was sought out to become a Supervisor of Substation Construction.
Jason has led teams over various substation projects, relay projects, and hurricane restorations. He has leadership experience collaborating and communicating with multiple workgroups to complete projects safely, on time, and in budget. This experience makes him qualified to provide consulting to project leads and other team members in the fields of construction and maintenance services.
